Chino Hills v. Mission Viejo in the finals of Div. 2 Chino Hills beats Chino and Mission Viejo beats Moorpark to get there.

I thought (based on past years success more than this year) that Camarillo beating Corona Santiago was a mild upset. Although he's apparently a polarizing figure, John Perez usually gets that team deep into CIF.

I'm sure there are quite a few people in the softball community that were not displeased to know that his team bowed out in the first round.

I would chalk that and all Santiago losses this season on bad coaches decisions.... JMO.... hopefully there will be some BIG changes coming in the fall.

The last 2 years DD's school has been in the playoffs but not this year, I really don't care who wins or loses. & will only follow the scores.

I must admit this years playoff highlight for me came last week seeing an article in the local paper where "the Cookson sisters" led their team to a WC victory & it brought back fond memories of competing alongside my older brother & that sentimentality of how special it was for the 2 of us.

DD will be watching some of her former HS's games this week- their pitcher will be going to my DD's college team next year- she's going to show support to her past and soon to be teammate

I went to my first HS game in years a week agao. My DD was out of town and she wanted me to show her Collge Coach around and introduce him. Brought back memories :D All the parents looking and pointing at the coach. Pitcher did well beatin rival Darien and performing with her future coach there. Was also the first time I got to really talk with the coach since the whole recruiting process
