This was the 3rd year for me going to the (Boulder) 18 division and I do have to say that this was the worst officiating games I have ever seen. It was so blatant in some of the games that even college coaches were saying wow. This is about the girls being able to compete in front of coaches and not about umpiring. Teams come in from all over and spend alot of money on this tournament to get those results. I'm not saying all were bad but there was a small group at the Stazio fields that were horrible.

Uno, you can find fully filled out brackets (excel downloads) at their website:

Didn't know that Team Mizuno were the old Batbusters-Stith, but they are the real deal. They run ruled everyone but the Corona Angels Kenny (2-1 in the Championship) and my DD's team in pool play (4-0). Thought it was a great tournament overall and the umpiring at Longmont wasn't an issue that I saw.

Agreed, I know some teams actually reported a plate umpire at Longmont after she apologized to a team for calling a dozen pitches balls that should have been strikes. obviously making a huge impact on the outcome of the game. We also had a couple terrible umpires, including the plate umpire in the championship game at Stazio.. But, it's all part of the game.. you get some good ones and bad ones and just work through it..

Exactly, one of our games went that way where we couldn't get a strike call to save our life that changed the whole complexity of the game. I know you get good ones and bad ones but they need to remember why we are there. I love going there and the last couple years were great but this year the umpiring was pretty bad. I spoke to parents from some of the other local teams from our area and they felt they were getting squeezed also. Oh well 2 So Cal teams ended up battling it out for the ship so they couldnt keep us out of it in the end.

My....My, what a Big Head you have!!!!!! If you think the umpires were trying to "Keep Us Out Of It", then you truly need a reality check.
