2013 Xeno

What's on your mind?

by hotcorner » Sat Jun 30, 2012 10:21 am

Does anyone know when the 2013 Xeno will become available? I have heard the end of June and have also heard the Fall of 2012.

Has anyone tried the 2013 Xeno enough to form an opinion of them? How do they compare to the 2012?

My DD hit a home run last week with the 2013. But then she hit a home run with the 2012 Xeno the week before that. But I'm sure this new home run went farther than that old home run. Therefore, it must be worth the money!

Bought DD 2013 in Colorado. She bought a bigger model. Really was not impressed. Told her to go back to 2012 and did well last weekend. She said she is convinced she likes the 2012 better now. The 2013 might have been too big. She was very successful with the 2012 last season.

From all reports, Louisville Slugger strengthened the connection point of the 2013 Xeno bat, to help with the durability of the Xenon line. That being said, does strengthening this connection point positively effect the performance of the bat AND help the durability of the bat? I doubt it.

The interesting point is LS following up the 2013 Xeno with the One-X becoming available this month.

Has anyone demo'd the LS One X? Rumor is that this bat is a Xeno with a composite inner piece to get rid of the funky sound the Xeno's have. It lists for $350 though...

Saw a 2012 snap right in half at practice last week.

I think it's common knowledge the 2012 Xeno's break occasionally. The question is does it outperform the 2013 Xeno's while in tact, since LS worked on the connection point to make it more durable?
