I just bought my DD a Techzilla.

Almost every good team we play in tournaments probably has 70% of their girls or more hitting rocketechs.

The designation -9 and -10 is called the "drop" (9 drop, 10 drop). It's the difference between the length of the bat and the weight of the bat. You should get your daughter both  just kidding. Basically, have your DD swing both and see which one she has better control of. Smaller kids usuall want a 10 drop, bigger kids a 9 drop, again I am generalizing. And I haven't had to make that decision in 4 years (last time I had to pay for DD's bat).

You can't put a price tag on base hits:)

Sure you can. After this last season we're down to $2.75 per hit. And the price just keeps droppin with every hit. What a bargain!

How old is she, how big is she, what level does she play? If you are asking about bats and drop-weights, I'm assuming that she isn't at the travel level yet. (?)

Very few travel players (at least in California) are unable to swing at least a -10 effectively, but that's not true with respect to rec leagues, where many players swing bats in the -11 to -13 range (i.e., lighter relative to their lengths).

You don't want her swinging a bat that is too heavy for her or she's going to suck, and, in the immortal words of Karl Spackler, "[s]he'll quit the game."
