I'm working too while my DD is in Sioux Falls.

My wife has seen coaches from Ilinois, Iowa State, Nebraska, Oklahoma, LSU, Auburn, Kentucky, South Florida and South Carolina.

Anyone seeing any college coaches at 14u ASA or Premier Nationals?

PGF 14u - We had a minimum of 10 coaches each game. Tenn, GA, UCLA, BYU, LSU, N. Texas, Idaho St., Oregon, Oregon St., Maryland, Fresno, Nebraska, FIU, UCSB, St. Johns, UC Davis.
Tons more that I cant remember.

What CA team is going to take it?
Here is my thoughts....
Legacy (langenfeld) a new team but very compititive, play strong against top teams from so cal.


Mizuno pride is very strong but Missing some pitching


So cal breakers also is also looking strong.

Anyone think different?

Mizuno Pride almost lost to a local South Dakota team that was only in the field because they were a local team. Every other team had run ruled them. Really surpised that the CA teams were so poor. Next Level - Gold wasn't too bad. But clearly CA only sent B level talent to Sioux Falls.

Down to six teams. The two remaining in the winner's bracket are Team Arizona and Tennessee Fury 97. That should be a great game. Fury best team I've seen all week, but Team AZ is great as well. In the loser's bracket, Georgia Force 97 plays Minnesota Renegades 97. Renegades have thrown three straight shutouts. In the other loser's bracket game, Impact Gold plays Team Pennsylvania. I haven't seen either team play this week but they both must be very special. I'll be at the ballpark at 8am tonorrow. Good luck to all the teams.

who won and who got 2nd

Was at the games this morning. In the loser's bracket, Impact Gold (out of Houston) scored early and often and beat Team PA 16-2 in 4 innings. MN Renegades 97 scored late and often and beat Georgia Force 97 10-2 (9 runs in the last two innings, and most of them were unearned). Felt for the Georgia girls. Anyway, Impact Gold then beat Renegades 97 1-0 as a second inning run held up. Renegades loaded the bases with 1 out in the third, but Impact switched pitchers and the second pitcher was positively dominating. Renegades really didn't threaten to score again until the 7th when they got a runner to second with 2 outs, but a K ended the game.

In the winner's bracket, TN Fury also had a dominating pitching performance and beat Team AZ 1-0. Didn't see as much of this game as I was watching Impact vs. Renegades, but both pitchers looked great.

So to recap, Georgia Force 97 and Team PA finished tied for 5th. MN Renegades 97 finished in 4th place. Right now Team AZ is playing Impact Gold for the right to face the TN Fury. Taking a short lunch break so I am skipping that game but will be back for the championship game (or series). Great teams remaining with stud pitchers. VERY fun to watch.

Tennessee Fury are the 14U champs. Team Arizona had defeated Impact Gold 1-0. That setup a Team AZ vs. TN Fury remtach. Team AZ scored two early runs and controlled the entire game. TN cut the lead to 2-1 mid way through the game and it stayed 2-1 heading to the bottom of the 7th.

Tennessee's leadoff batter led off bottom of 7th. Slapper. Hit a slow dribbler that the pitcher fielded, turned and threw to first, but nobody was there (2nd base was trying to get there but pitcher led her just a bit too far). Ball went into foul territory and runner got to second. Runner on second, nobody out. #2 batter tried to bunt but missed, but the ball got away from catcher. Runner now on third, nobody out. #2 batter then popped out to first. One out. #3 batter walked on 4 pitches WAY out of the strike zone. Not an intentional walk but for all intents and purposes, it was.

Ok, still with me? Runners on 1st and 3rd, one out. Pinch runner in at first. Next pitch ball gets away from catcher again, not enough to score a run, but enough to get runner to second. Tying run at third, winning (championship!) run at second, one out. Next pitch line shot base hit to center. CF goes all out but can't make the catch (GREAT effort!), both runners score and the TN Fury are your 14U ASA/USA national champs in dramatic walk-off fashion.

I heard something about about coaches and parents from a team getting into a physical altercation during a game in the dugout and two players walking off the field and quitting their team.

Don't know anything more...anybody have any details?
