ASA has chose to SPECIFICALLY not call this interference. The intent and specific wording of ASA rules require that defense are going to have to brain up on this one.
This exact play is discussed at many clinics.
No umpire worth his salt is giving you anything on this play.
The rule doesn't cover the BR attempting this with only 2 strikes. I believe it covers the BR running to 1B on D3K or a perceived D3K with 1B occupied and less than 2 outs. To my knowledge there is no D2K rule.
