You dont have to mow it but you have to vacuum it - monsoon season generates all kinds of nasties that blow in and stick in your yard. My yard in Arizona was just rocks, nothing grew except for a century plant and an ancient saguaro , but there were plenty of interesting creatures, like gila monsters, variety of snakes, and scorpions.
Amy, what age do kids start pitching now? My youngest moved up at 8 to pitch 10u - she had to skip the 8u which coach pitch (8 years ago now).
