UCLA needs to find a new leader

Everything you want to know about the greatest game

I think after 3 straight years of not making it out of the regionals against medium teams, they really need to start looking in a different direction. They are no longer the school that everyone didn't want to play, now they are the school teams want to play. They are going to start losing players. Arizona is starting it's decline as well.

The players who used to look at UCLA and UofA have already moved on - to the SEC and Big Ten.

Players are seeing the shift and the building of new stadiums and practice facilities. UCLA has no land to build something new.

True, you can't replace Sue, but, you would think after being an asst. coach with her and playing for her, some of her coachability would wear off.

Would it be safe to say that the talent is going to the schools that offer a better scholarships as far as % that is covered at other school comparedto what ucla offers?

Or maybe schools like Cal, Oregon, Washington, and Arizona St. The Pac 10 is still strong.

I will never get back the 4 and half hours of life that I lost watching that fiasco against UAB. 18 LOB and two runners thrown out by a mile at home plate, jeeez. On top of that, had to watch the game on web tv, why weren't they part of the ESPN3 coverage?

yeah, she is not a very aggressive coach on the base paths and thinks her runners all have sprinters speed and can make it home. It was very poor coaching. And it has only gotten worse.

Luckily, I was out also working on the yard pulling weeds in-between innings so I at least got something done. Pulling weeds was more satisfying.

It appears that their bench is not very deep, looking at the roster, there are some players that never play.

Not good for a 13th rank team.

Who is UAB anyways? Have they been know for their softball in the past?
