It started 3 hours late.

It was strange how the umps kept the game going in the rain even though it was clear that Ricketts couldn't grip the ball. Common sense called for a ten minute break, but not to be.

Congrats to Bama, they took advantage when opportunity knocked.
Ladies, if a man tells you he will fix it, he will fix it. There is no reason to remind him about it every six months.

Started late AND got moved over to ESPN-2.

As for umps keeping the game going, I believe they're only supposed to stop the game if safety is an issue (lightning, conditions too slippery, etc.). Unfortunately for Oklahoma, trouble gripping the ball doesn't count.

Thought it strange that the umpires stopped the game before the end of the inning. Traina pitched in the same downpour through the top of the fourth, but Rickets gets a break part way through the bottom of the same inning. Wonder what rule allowed that?

According to the talking heads the only reason the game could be stopped was for player safety. Personally would rather have seen it played dry, but congrats to Bama for perservering since my team was eliminated earlier.
