Re #1 and #2, It's hard to pressure the colleges.

Re #3, who runs all the showcases? Oh, wouldn't you know - Haning and Hay.
And Minor's Gold and Firecrackers do SoCal's Finest, right?
Anyone else?

I suspect when the schools limit scouting to June-Sept, all of the showcases will magically become "tournaments" so the organizers can charge inflated entry fees compared to friendlies.

It would be nice though if the players had that time off.

Can I add the Worth 454 getting declared 'too old' to be used in NCAA, but still allowed in youth fastpitch to your list of problems to fix?

Put it on the agenda for the next Board meeting.

Your DD can take any time off she wants. Nobody is forcing you (or your DD) to play 12 months a year.
I see no hope for the future of our people if they are dependent on the frivolous youth of today, for certainly all youth are reckless beyond words.

Mine takes time off, and is all the better for it in a number of ways.

My suggestion was for travel ball at large, as per the conversation.
Ladies, if a man tells you he will fix it, he will fix it. There is no reason to remind him about it every six months.
