If there is no gate fee for anyone you will be able to draw from the surrounding area ( teams / parents & older players ) to come and watch. I'm betting you will get a lot of people from So. Cal to come. At other National's the surrounding public doesn't want to pay to watch teams they don't know anything about. PGF will make their money in concessions with more spectators.

Another thing PGF offers with their $1500 fee is the ability for anyone to bring in coolers of food/drinks. As I recall, ASA allows one team cooler for drinks, and that's it.

Battle I like ASA but if you think about it a lot of ASA customers ( Gold Coaches ) asked for changes and ASA ignored them until PGF rose up. Once they had serious competition ASA made changes for the better, maybe it is just a coincidence but if you believe that I have a great deal on some swamp land in Florida for you
