I can tell you from personal experience that I have been through this. Three years ago our team had $5,000 stolen. We detailed every penny raised from every fundraiser -- dates, people and how much they contributed, etc. We then detailed every team expense -- same thing, dates and amounts paid to specific people/organizations. We then went to the suspected person. He had no accounting of where the money went or what happened do it. We filed a formal complaint with the ASA (for all the good that did us).
We were then going to file a felony complaint with the DA. We stopped because no one, including me, wantied to spend the next 2 years in and out of the wonderful court system. We just moved on. The suspect slinked away into the shadows.
My point is that if you're going to charge someone with a crime -- stealing is a crime -- you need to provide the evidence of the crime. Otherwise your allegations are not credible and come off as a rant by a disgruntled parent. That's why you got booted off HB.
As I said, I know the person you mentioned. I don't pretend to know how he runs the team as well as the parents on the team.
