That is just wrong to pull a no show, put them on the list of teams not invited to our friendlies.

In the past we hosted a friendly and asked for all teams to mail a deposit to hold a spot and pay the balance the day of games. Only had 1 team disagree and filled that spot that day with another who sent the entire amount. Worked great for all teams involved.

The last one we hosted I did not do this and had 5 teams drop out days before (top organizations too) and I had to fill last minute and mess with schedule last minute.

Sad to say that we may have to ask teams to pay a deposit like this is a tournament, but unless you host as much as we do and realize how much work is involved to put these together, be prepared to send a deposit check.

Sux you have to do that, but it makes things a lot easier. Its a pain in the ASS when teams drop out last minute.

Jets parent here. I was not there, but my wife called me, completely aggravated that she and my daughter woke up at 5 a.m. to get to the field on time, and the other team simply failed to show. It is unfortunate that some teams show such a lack of class. However, the cream always rises to the top, as the Corona Angels threw a team together to play us....yet another example why some organizations thrive on and off the field, while others simply do not have the character to endure. Thanks again to the Angels.

Nah, those teams just don't have the talent to endure.
