Photo Fire Impressions at ASA 16U So-Cal States

Yesterday I spent the day(about 9 hours at games) at Noble Creek shooting pictures of the ASA 16U final 12 teams or so. Here is a list of matchups I was at, bouncing from field to field until the championship game at 2pm between Corona Angels & OC Batbusters, where I took 295 photos, from the first OCBB run to the final double play turned in to finish the game. Just about all the action. Also ceremony of the 2 teams, etx. Here is a list with the amount of photos taken...

Thank You to everyone at the fields yesterday. Julie Creps once again very solid as a tournament director, the fields looked great, the parking was easy and everyone was friendly and helpful about taking photos of all the girls. Coaches, parents, the blues, and the girls were awesome. I hope we were able to capture some lasting memories of your girls.

This was a very contriversial call in the OCBB vs. Victory - called safe! #5 appears to ring her up.

I just realized this was the hit that created the play...

safe... 2 runs scored on the play then the next batter singled to score the third run. BB took a 3-1 lead. Victory had 2 opportunities later, filling the bases loaded with one out. A line drive to second was turned into a DP with the runner on third being picked off heading back to third.

There was a conference by all three umpires and all three determined that the runner was safe.

Victory had 2nd and 3rd with 2 out ( I recall) but the third out was recorded stranding the 2 runners in scoring position.

bottom line she was out, but was called safe by the blue that was out in rightfield, not even in position to make the call.
