No school sports?!

The San Diego Unified school district will be meeting on Tuesday 6/2/2009 to discuss and possibly VOTE on stopping ALL school sports within the district in order to save money! This is an outrage! If your child goes to a school within the district get a hold of the schoolboard via e-mail or voicemail and voice your opinion opposing this!

We've already been working on what will happen when the budget cuts hit us. We are doing fundraising and should be able to cover what the school will no longer cover.

Hmmmmm, from the general feeling here on the bucket, I would think that this would be met with aplaus and celebration. But then again, if there is no h.s. softball, what will most of you have to complain about?

My mom taught school for 45 years now she is retired. She went back and teaches the music program and this will be her last year because of cuts. They got people to donate money for the program and the school district may not allow it

wouldnt bother me one bit if there were no more HS softball... but ALL sports means no more HS football or basketball. That would suck.
