They don't play out the championship from the losers bracket. Once in the losers bracket the best you can place is 3rd.

Yeah but with 12 berths, you should have the top 8 in winers qualify and another 4 our of the loser bracket? Right???? The best placing you could get is 3rd and bragging rights are great, but is not everyones goals to qualify for Nationals!!

If you have won your way thru the top 12, then do you stop playing because you qualified for Nats? Or keep playing for bragging rights?

I completely agree NUMEROUNO! That is what I meant, a berth is the goal! I also beleive it is edicat (I think that my be spelt wrong, just to cover my a....) to support state regardless of the outcome. You just go!! Perhaps many years ago with our older daughter, that was just how we were taught! We may not be the strongest team out there, and according to bracky, unranked, but we go, we play hard, and stranger things have happened!!!
