So Cal Diamonds

by lamike » Mon Apr 06, 2009 11:54 pm

…Just responding to the Bracketologist. He says “– People are always getting the two So Cal 12u Diamond teams confused. Here’s the deal. There are actually (3) So-Cal Diamond 12U teams.

1.
So-Cal Diamonds “96” (Williams) This is our 2nd full year of “travel”.
Last year we played over 110 games as a 1st year 12U Travel Team.
The “96” team has a “black” coach.

Top 30 teams that We have beaten in “friendlies and/or tournaments
#2 CA Rebels
#7 OC Wildcats “96”
#8 Valley Tribe “96” & “97”
#13 So-Cal Crunch
#14 Irvine Sting
#27 OC Crush
#28 OC Wildcats “97”

We just went 5-0 in USSSA Tournament this weekend.
Small tourney…but a win is a win…

2.
So-Cal Diamonds “97” (Cheek) Comprised of mostly Simi Valley 10U
Rec Gold Players from last year. Had a very successful “Rec” season
Placed in the top five in “Rec” Nationals. This is their first season of
“Travel”. They played in the “Surf City” Tourney, not the “96” team

3.So-Cal Diamonds “97” (Polk) They don’t play a lot of games and
would be considered the “weakest” of the 3 teams.

(the "96" team is scheduled to play in the Power Surge friendly on April 19th and the Corona Angels' (Kenny) Friendly on May 17th. Could not get into the Fresno Force Tourney - too late

Congratulations on your extensive success....

This post wouldn't be so bad if you would have just left out the entire paragraph stating which teams you have beaten....Especially in friendlies.....Friendly results count for squat and they mean less than a bag of rocks.....Results are entertaining for us all to see and we all post the results but we don't even post the scores because they don't mean anything.....

JMHO and good luck to you and your team but don't brag....Bracketologist made the statement but I promise you we weren't all staying awake since we read it hoping someone would give us the answers......FYI! Good Luck and see you on the dirt! ;)

hhhmmm, maybe we can start a thread regarding teams in the same age division with the same names, and how to tell them apart....oh wait, nevermind...
Deserve's got nothin' to do with it.

Maybe they are the weakest of the 3 but you're the most egotistical.

Congrats on winning the USSSA tourney and you are right a win is a win. That tourney only had 4 teams playing 12U right? I have seen the Diamonds play and they are okay.
Good luck the rest of the season.

I'm confused as to which one is which so let's get back to old reliable:

'96 Williams= Diamonds Mega Elite
'97 Cheek= Diamonds Kinda Elite
'97 Polk= Diamonds Wanna Be Elite

There, that's much better and more clear.
