Uno, it's constructive critisism for petes sake. Relax, don't take it so personal and assume things about the parents. So Cals Finest is a great tourney but it's not perfect. You should welcome all comments, good or bad, so that you can continue improving your tourneys in the future and become the best around. Do you think your tourney's are flawless? You got a good thing going but theres nothing wrong with always wanting to improve it every time out.

You are right always room for improvement. I was at the field at 6 am on Saturday and left at 10 pm and at the field at 6 today and still here so complaining about umps is the last thing I want to here. We had the majority of the teams tell us this was the best tourney they have been to and we will try to improve on a few things.

Jynx is up by a couple in the finals over Nemesis

Our team had a great experience this weekend. Great field conditions and great games from every field! Weather was exceptional! Got to meet a few people who came over to watch the 12U - 9 inning game. Thanks for cheering our girls on. Looking forward to next month where most of us will meet up again. Yes, there were some bad calls...some went our way and some didn't but I have not been to a tournament where this doesn't happen. I'm sure Numero Uno and the rest of the crew will do their best to make it better. Looks like they take a lot of pride in putting these tournaments together.

Congratulations to BB Snow!

I'm sure every complaint that you get from this tournament you'll just pass it off as a parent complaining of things not going their way instead of hearing their voices. Yes that's true that they don't complain if calls go their way. But all the teams ask is that the calls go both ways. Yes we all whine but sometimes they're legitimate.

If you want to ignore it that's your perrogative. ;)

Playball I saw some horrible calls just like I do every weekend but I personally don't dwell on bad calls, it is what it is and somethings never change. The reason I brought up the parent thing is because I saw a lot of parents yelling at the umps from the first pitch to the last. Why any manager would allow that is ridiculous.

Let these kids play, let them develop and get as much playing time as they can. I heard some dad yelling at I guess it was his kid to pull her head out and get in the game. Not once but over and over again. The girl knew she made a mistake and to have your own father telling you to pull your head out is over the top. Then he was on the ump to pull his head out. Why do it? It will not help your team one bit I promise you.

I just don't see how yelling and complaining does any good. I always try to make every situation as positive as it can be. I don't like seeing bad calls either but I certainly am not going to start screaming about a bad call in a meaningless game.

I'm sure it was a very memorable DD/Dad bonding experience , as soon as the first boyfriend comes around, she'll be done with softball, just a prediction.
