1 What about the umpire who called illegal pitches I heard he called over 20 in one game I dont know if this is true. He called 5 in the game betwen Crackers and OCBB.

2- there were 2 umpires that were calling the outside pitch at least 12 inches off the plate.
I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work."

I watched the Anderson-CoronaTyson game. He called at least 8 illegal pitches. It was ridiculous. If she was illegal, so were 95% of the other pitchers there. I couldn't believe it!! Also, in our last game, we had a blue calling pitches WAAAAAYYYY outside!! They were beyond the line in the LEFT batters box!! And, he was inconsistent with it, to add to it!!

I have often wondered why the girls would do that when they pitch for HS. They can not do it in ASA and they can not do it in College. Why ever start!!!

They said she wasnt dragging her right toe the whole way. And, it wasnt anything resembling a crow hop. If I were coaching against her, it wouldn't have even been a thought to ask the blue to watch her....

We had a blue the first game and called a bunch of illegal pitches on the Power Surge 94 pitcher.
He said that after she got the signal her hands never came to a stop or something like that. One illegal pitch after another. It was getting old we just wanted to play.

Pretty poor umpiring overall, but far better than last year in 12's, IMO.

I saw that CA/Anderson game too. Absurd.

Didn't know that your hands had to stop. I thought they just had to come together for at least 1 second. I'll have to go find my rule book.

all for "not dragging/airborne"...

other than that, i thought all the umps we had did a good job.
Deserve's got nothin' to do with it.

The blue's overall were horrible this past weekend. Anytime you have both teams complaining about the same issue about the strike zone being in the opposite batters box that's pretty bad. I seen alot of illegal pitches being called this weekend also and lack of knowledge of the rules but don't ask the other umpire for help because you can't make them look bad. I seen better officiating at an AFA tournament.
