:?: you know what they say: "you get what you pay for!" We could cut the pay in half and get umps that know and care on a 50% level. With that being said--there are some blues that aren't deserving of the current pay rate or any rate for that matter. For the most part, umps are worth every dollar and some are worth even more.

here the point of discuss most of the times we see blues that is just a bunch of bad calls especially by the end of the day on the last 2 games good and outstanding blues are hard to find now most of those is just for the $$$ so we paying too much or is fear.

If you had been where we were last weekend, we had blues in one game that had to have the patience of Job. There was a close call made on an interference call - cost them a run, I was filming - and not at that play - and missed the incident. I talked to the kid that was interferred with - and she told me the BR brushed her running by - in front of the ball - and to me, it was a dead issue at that point - there was interference. The fans for the other side were so disgusting it was unbelievable, screaming, 'Blue - we are going to get you - hey Blue - ' and it continued on and on through the next 5 innings. They did win - and from the screaming and yelling, it was obvious that winning was not that common for them. The point of this was that the patience shown by the blues was so far above and beyond, they should have gotten an award.

It was a high school tournament - I talked with some of the other side later and they were nice folks. Sounded like their behavior was they were supposed to do when the call went against them. I noticed that the security guys came and escorted the blues out - heck we would have done that for them. That team lost their next two games, some of their parents told me they had just left it all on the field when they played us - if so - great job. God knows we need the competition.

Wow. They should have walked off the field. Then see how many friendlies the team gets invited to. In fact, which team was it?
