2 Travel Ball Dads Who Must Be Ashamed!!!

This fight happened this past Wednesday evening (7/15/2015) between two New Jersey Dads outside the opening ceremony of a softball tournament in Salisbury, Maryland.

The fight was apparently over one of their daughters being kicked off the team. As the alleged story goes, the Dad of the girl who was thrown off the team challenged the other Dad to a fight via a text message earlier in the day. Then he made a 3 to 4 hour drive to confront the Dad he challenged and the other parents from the softball team. Both Dads must be really proud of their police mugshots which have been spread nationwide over the past several days.

On top of buying themselves a pile of very severe legal headaches, their daughters must be horrified. Not to mention, this probably seriously hurts their future prospects for college recruitment for both daughters.

The fight took place outside the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center (WYCC) in Salisbury MD at the 10U and 12U Manager’s check-in for the USSSA 2015 Eastern World Series. Their 10U and 12U tournament runs from last Wed (when the fight took place) to today.

Both Dads were placed under arrest and transported to the Central Booking Unit where they were processed. After an initial appearance, one Dad was detained in lieu of $20,000 bond, while the other was released on Personal Recognizance with an appearance ticket. The Dad who posed the challenge and made the drive is the one who was beaten pretty badly. Interesting to note, he’s the one who was detained. Doing a simple Google search, he has multiple instances of being criminally convicted (probably the reason he was detained).
