This weekend in DFW

by mstree323 » Mon Nov 09, 2009 11:11 am

2 things.

dbat allen are 98s except for the one thats 99, and they bring another 99 most of the time when they need help.

thanks john, those were fun games to play. i'm sure we'll get a chance to do it again, and it'll go right down to the end one more time. i'd feel better about our chances if ya'll would leave that short stop at home. she was just tearing us up, especially in the championship. heck of a game from everybody.

anyone who's been around me knows i dont complain about calls, i've only argued with a couple of umpires in my life, but that was an odd play you described. that was my daughter that knocked the bag out. Didnt know what to tell her. she got a good jump, ya'll made a good throw, she got down hard, knocks out the ball and bag -- OUT. Not only that, he called her out then safe then out. very odd.

you cant control the umpires and you cant control the weather, just gotta go hard and get down.

For the record...dbat allen is NOT all 98's. Yes they have a 99 but they also have a couple 97's, that if not on the team permanently.... pickup with them depending on the tournament. That is not a bad thing, as a matter of fact it is well within the rules. Everyone does it, just ask 98 Danger Zone.

They do have 97s on that team and they are not pick ups.

There were two brackets in Mansfield... 8U and 16U. Probably why they didn't get in.

hey, tues may be. i havent carded her but i texted her momma to find out. didnt think of her.

still, all 3 pitchers, both catchers, the entire infield, an a pair of outfielders are the 98 rage.

the real big ones are 98's and have always been there.

its the same as always.

I don't think anyone was knocking them, just stating the facts. In all fairness, it's not really the same as always. They do have at least 2 additions from an older team and the player you're referring to is a pretty good one.

nah, didnt take it as knocking just didnt know she was and at tryouts they turned some out for not being 98.

heard back though. she was in fact born in december of 97.

i wholeheartedly retract my previous pronouncement.

I got a chance to be in Mesquite and saw a few of the major games. Anderson looked pretty good this weekend.
Saturday:
Force lost first Bracket game to 98 Texas Glory.
Ole' 97 lost to Anderson.
Showtime rolled through there easy Bracket.
98 Texas Glory lost to Attitude in the last inning.
Longhorns rolled through there easy bracket.
Anderson wins out as well
Sunday:
Showtime lost to Anderson.
Ole' 97 was eliminated by 98 Texas Glory.
Longhorns lost to Attitude.
Force still fighting through losers bracket
When I left there were only 6 teams left 98 Texas Glory, Anderson, Showtime, Attitude, Longhorns and Force.

Great games.

Well at least Southlake will let Diamonds play some ball this weekend. Maximum 24 teams in Southlake and 24 teams playing in Southlake.

Both tournaments had a max of 24 teams one allowed 22 teams the other allowed 17 teams? 17 is kinda of a odd number gut feeling they did not want the Diamonds in their tournament so they put them on the waiting list. If you can only handle 39 teams that weekend then post the max appropriately on VTD.

Good luck Diamonds looking forward to watching you all play this weekend.
