Dont understand that comment.
I would understand "She does have a lot of movement on her pitches but she walks a lot." or
"She does have a lot of movement on her pitches and she walks a lot." but saying or implying that movement leads to walks is not true.
Donny, I have coached in this area for a couple of decades. Therefore, I know just about every umpire. After games, such as last night, they come up to me and comment on her. A common theme seems to be that they suggest that it is hard to stay with her ball because it moves so much. Of course, she has thrown into a pretty steady wind these last few games. Last night's game was the calmest with a wind blowing straight out to center at abou 14 mph. I know also that the catcher complains that when my dd throws, she gets "catcher's thumb." It doesn't help in her case that about half of her fastballs look more like peel drops. Of course that will eventually be a good thing when she can control that more. At this point, my dd is a young lady that had gotten by with speed but is now facing a lot older girls. She is a raw as an uncooked potato. Like I said, someday she may turn into a pitcher. BTW, up to date stats are that she walks 5 per game, strikes out 8 per game and now has an ERA of .80. She surrendered 3 hits last night and none the game before.
