Unsportsmanlike conduct or just plain harrassment

What's on your mind?

One day she happened to sit next to me during the game and I tried to be a normal, polite person in speaking with her. Big mistake. She starting sitting next to me game after game. I decided to move out beyond the fence in center field. She found me.

Okay, that's a funny visual right there.

F1 & F2 are sisters and their dad is parked behind the backstop and has something negative to say about every pitch, alternating between daughters. The further behind the team got, the more obnoxious dad became.

While waiting for her sister to get to the circle, F2 says to me: Mr. Blue, what can I do to get my father thrown out of this game? The only game we won this year while my sister was pitching was when my father was out of town on a business trip. I told her that as much as I felt her pain, the only thing I could suggest would be talking with her coach.

we played a team last year that was pretty obnoxious. One of the players had a little potty mouth and this was in 10U. I didnt realize it but we saw this same girl this year and until my wife saw her, I never knew it was the same girl. I should have put it together as I knew she came from that team etc. Anyway, on the new team, completely different.

On 3rd base, I made a comment to my DD at the plate after she had swung at a pitch that hit her in the ankle. It wasnt really nice but she needed a wake up call. She just took a strike against a horrible pitch which would have put her on base. The other team would not leave me alone and kept telling me what a horrible dad I was blah blah. I think they were upset that thier elite 14U was tied with a bunch of p/u 12U players.

for the most part I have found most TB parents to be friendly and supportive. It is a small world and you dont know who you will run into down the road.

Since softball teams have more than 10 players, guess what? Hard to find a team without someone who is clueless and without hesitation will embarrass the team with their behavior at games.

We don't have anyone like that on our team...although maybe this is akin to the old poker adage: "if you can't spot the sucker at the table within 15 minutes, you're him."

I actually put the number at greater than 10%, but I don't think they are randomly distributed. So some teams are just fine, some have their one or two jerks, and others, well...just count yourself lucky if half the parents (dads and moms) haven't challenged you to a knife-fight by game's end.

Their pitchers are orphans?
