President Obama got out of the shower and was drying off when he looked in the mirror
and noticed he was white from from his neck up to the top of his head. In sheer panic and fearing he was turning white, he called his doctor and told him of his problem. The doctor advised him to come to his office immediately. After an examination, the doctor mixed a concoction of brown liquid, gave it to Barrack, and told him to drink it all. Barrack drank the concoction and replied,' That taste like bullsh$t!' The doctor replied, 'It was, you were a quart low! '

No BS..health care cost rise 13% a year over the last decade. At this rate annual cost of health insurance should hit 30K within ten years.

The reason for the dramatic health insurance increase is the amount of BS lawsuits they have to deal with. You want to fix the American health care system? Easy, pass a tort reform bill. Congress wont do that as over 54 percent of them are lawyers. It is just easier for them to put us all into a 50 percent tax bracket so illegals can have health care and grandpa is still forced to do without the operation. Way to go Obama!!!!!!!

The culprit: severely regulated (i.e., curtailed) competition in the health insurance market.

Okay ... I'm intrigued GSB ... where are you getting your info ? ... lets see your stats that show how health insurance has gone up because of BS lawsuits ... I hope you are not saying that any suit against an insurance company is automatically BS ... Since there are those suits that are justified, I would like to know just how much money the insurance companies have to spend in denying coverage to people that that actually didn't pay for it in the first place ... and how that makes the cost rise so that families have to spend more money buying insurance and gambling against their good health than they do on food ...

Do you know the difference between 'illegals' and immigrants ? Illegals are not covered by any of the proposals for reform. Assuming your screen name isn't short for Great Steady Bear, your peeps emigrated here ... perhaps you fear this wave of Latinos crossing the border is going to do to us what we did to the Native Americans ...

In case you haven't checked ... Grandpa can't get the operation now ...

G, the illegals will be given free health care just as they are now. Stopping health care providers from checking IDs is what gives it to them. While his method was wrong, that is why Wilson stated the fact that he did last week.

I assume you are referring to emergency room care ... If you are wheeled in the door, and they can't find your ID ... I hope they treat you ... As you point out, we are already paying the bills for those who do not pay for their emergency room care ... the sad part is, many honest hard working Americans are having to use the ER as thier family doctor ...

That is an over-used concept, except in fairness, to those who are impacted by it. So if it needs fixing, why not change the system to take care of the ~8 million impacted families rather than destroying the entire system? Never mind the fact that there is absolutely no consitutional basis for Congress getting involved with this, it's ridiculous to demand 90% of the country stop their current insurance plans and take up with one fraught with falicies so that less than 10% of the country can be helped.
Being from NorCal, what do I know anyway???
