1. Sam, what is TO and will you also be in charge of parent relations?
2. Is there really a Fillys 23U and how hard is it to form a new team in 23U?
3. Donnie, if your kid wants in, she'll have a place to stay. And just so you know, my son and I religiously avoid healthy food. None of that alfalfa sprouts crap. She would need to bring some BBQ recipes.
4. As with every team my precious plays for, she gets to choose what position she'll play before every game. The number thing is a given.
It would be a kick to get a bunch of kids together that want to play some ball and have a good time without the normal pressures they're under. No cosmic quest for championships, titles or trinkets. Just a way to stay sharp, make a few new friends and have fun during part of the summer.

Nothing personal Watcher. I just have no idea who you are.

JP

That's fine as long as she doesn't want dd's #88. We have a pole barn and we're not afraid to use it. :o

Watcher,

Congrats on your daughter becoming a Terp! I went there from 85-89...great years. As far as Mexican food, I don't recall any establishments that had anything noteworthy. However, I do not remember eating as much as drinking :o The Cellar and 'Vous were the bars of choice....don't let her get near them or you will be sending new shoes every week....the amount of vomit, beer, piss....and I don't want to think what else, is two inches deep by 2 am.

What dorm is she staying in? I only stayed on campus one year in Elkton, then chose to move off. My oldest dd wants to go to College Park, too. I wish you and your dd much happiness and success!

ps. when you visit, go to Georgetown....great restaurants!

If you had the pleasure of watching one of the So Cal Puma's games in OKC, You have seen my kid, 6'1" blonde catcher.

Kevin, Oldest left for the east coast last monday, Seems as though one of her friends lives in the "Hamptons" in NY so she left us for greener pastures, Pudge leaves on Sunday for Maryland with her mom, I will still be a softball junky & catch as many games as I can. I will be leaving on the 2-wheeler the last week in Sept. to th 2nd week in Oct. on a putt east to S.C to see friends, I am only a days ride from College Park from there, I just might make a suprise visit

I will tell you guy's this, I didn't have too much of a problem when the oldest left last year, I can't say the same this year as my lil girl is 3+ days from departure. :x

Didn't get to see the game in person, but got to watch the Puma's on the feed from Sportzcast. From what I read, sounds like they had a really great season.

Go Terps! That's my alma mater too and I'm originally from MD. I will second the vote for doing anything in Georgetown. Wish I could help with the in's and out's, but the last time I was there I couldn't find anything, especially in the suburbs. I have been gone way too long.

That would have to be an awesome place to go to college if you're not from there- tons of entertainment, history, headquarters, museums, seafood, etc. Hope she has some time to venture out of the normal college stays.

Good luck to yours!

My DD's going next week. It sure will be quiet at home. At least I will still have a 14U team to coach. It will be a nice hobby..

I have quite a few friends that also ride motorcycles around the area of the campus, We rode up to Gettysburg & To Georgetown, I will do it again, There is alot to do around there but I'm thinking the kid won't wander far from the Comcast Center or her dorm. Being a Biology major (pre-med) she won't have much time for toooooo much of the other stuff, Besides she knows dad has some very long arms. When we went to connecthedots on a visit for the oldest, There were 6 of dads friends there to meet & greet her. My kids think I have someone "watching" them @ all times, I let them believe that.

Not a problem I can be "almost invisalbe" at times, But at the next HB showcase if you see a 6'5" guy climb off a dark blue Indian motorcycle, Come on over and introduce yourself

Absolutely will. I too am almost invisible but in my case it is because I am enveloped in clove cigarette smoke. Kind of like Pig-Pen in Charlie Brown.
