But, an acquaintance just had surgery in Louisiana and the drainage tube was put in backwards (as I understand it) and everything was draining back into her. She is alive but has been in critical condition for 10 days.
I just hear of so many medical accidents, anymore - or misplaced records, tests, etc., that something needs to be done.
I know my concerns are separate from health insurance concerns, but I just wanted to vent.
Yes, many problems with the current system that need to be addressed. Gong to socialized medicine is not the answer. We (America) currently enjoy the best system in the world. Why step backwards. As to the profit: Of course the companies are in it to make a $, that's the American way. Provide a good service and make a $. Provide a bad service and go out of business (unless your business is an auto manufacturer or bank) then the government will bail you out.
Under Obama's plan, anyone over 65 is a wright off. Only minimal care to be given. No major surgeries or procedures. I guess Obama thinks the elderly are just taking up space and should die anyway. Kinda reminds me of the old show, "Logan's run" where they kill everyone when they turn 40. Can you believe anyone voted for this fool. Last poll just showed Obama's ratings are almost as low as George Bush's at their lowest point. No president in history has had worse numbers this soon into his presidency. I guess America is starting to wake up. I just hope we can survive 3 more years with this fool at the helm.
To each their own.
