There were a few rumors running around 3 years ago about RocketTech's not being durable enough to withstand ASA testing. That discussion seemed to indicate a number of failures with the longer 24" model.

That same discussion implied that durability is why you do not see RT's at the college level.

I know a lot of people in our area that use RT's and we have only seen a few flatten, usually involving the heavy/hard pitching machine balls.

Are you aware of the issue with ASA testing and durability and talk about RT durability at the college level?

LOL honestly... I check pretty much a couple times every hour LOL. Hey, I work in a cubicle, what can I say?

We are aware of the so called durability issue, but it is indeed rumor. The RockeTech is not a fragile product. Our returns for the RockeTech product is minimal. It hold up nicely at the collegiate level. The test is particularly hard on equipment but in spite of that we passed it and also survived an ASA field test survey of the RockeTech.

The minimal presence of Rocketechs at the college level is at our discretion and not because of any durability or performance issues. The Rocketech is actually already successful at the college level but we have remained in the JUCO and and lower division schools rather than Division I because we don't want to engage ourselves in the sponsorship free-for-all by competing with our much bigger competition for the affection of specific school programs. Paying for the opportunity to give away our very competitive product seems a bit counter-productive; so we do not approach schools for sponsorship opportunities. but we are willing to entertain proposals for equipment-only sponsorships with any school that wants to swing our stick. However, this type of offer is not appealing to many of the division I schools who are used to $weeter deals.
