First of all I understand that there is nothing that we can do about mother nature. However there is something that we could do to prevent from sending a bunch of girls home because they fell into the losers bracket early. The amended schedule did not have games played after 3PM today with the excuse to give the teams time to prepare for the finals? I call BS!! Thursday when there were no games played our coach was told by a person who had been working on the fields that they would be playable by 3 or 4PM. Now instead of doing what most National events would do and get the fields ready for play and continue play deep into the night if needed we are just going to send the losers bracket home? That is ten teams that just got pushed out and told sorry you lost one game and you are not important enough to us for us to have to work a little bit harder to get you the games that could be played if we wanted to do the work to get them done? Nice Job Garland!! Glad you got all those teams money and all the parents money for the $25 per person wrist band that they used for two days of playing!! In the end we really dont care about the money its more about you taking away the opportunity for our girls to finish the tournament on their own and not have you take it away from them Because you dont want to work a little harder to get the job done!!!!!!!

What does the amended schedule today have to do with what the muchacho working the fields said...on Thursday?

As long as softball zombies stay on the ASA leash, ASA will do what they want, when they want and where they want. The 1000+ teams playing ASA this week have plenty of ammo to bitch and whine...just like last year and the year before....but on the other hand, they keep showing up.

USFA got rain everyday in Florida...and finished on time...two weeks in a row...with a loser's bracket.

Stop the bitching...and stop playing ASA.

after looking at the brackets again with sending the losers bracket home you have cut out a total of NINE games!!!

Does this kind of stuff happen in a 16U-A Nationals?
Who made this decision?

I little effort could get this bracket finished. Your talking DFW area with ballfields on every corner. Instead you send Houston, Lousiana, And Oklahoma teams home. Makes little since considering most of these teams spent two or three weekends just to qualify for this event. Wichita Falls pulled the same stunt at State, but give them some slack those are the only fields in West Texas.

I would put the Garland facility at the bottom of the list in DFW, just ahead of Gateway.

Guys - That is why it is "B" because it does not matter, it is just a money maker. If it was an "A" tournament all the games would be played no matter what. Next year if you can't make the "A" show spend your hard earnrd $ and go to Triple Crown and play all your games and have a good time.

A or B does not matter to those little girls that wored hard all year to get there and to be able to compete. Regardless of what adults think for that moment it means everything to that girl. For them to cut tournments short for them because they are B class and that does not matter is why so many little girls are beginning to walk away from the sport. How can you truly say that any child does not matter. It is just criminal. :!:
