These are girls that have come into town several times for secret tryouts at BBUSA. They want to see what they can do in tournament play before they commit a slot to them.
I think if they can get them they will change from USFA to ASA. They could possibly challenge the top teams nationally with this new talent!!!

What??? Is Bobby Boucher coming out of retirement?? Or maybe going to get some "High Quality H20".

Yep HOTBOX ...... They have a team and you don't! Watch out for this one coaches looks like a problem parent!!!!

HotBox wrote:Like I said Hammer your team has the best pitcher/catcher combo in 10u. Every time I get to watch a game it seems like the pitcher/catcher are having a good time. It also appears that they have good communication skills with each other. How long have they been playing together( 3-4 years guessing)? The team as a whole appears to be very fluid and happy all the time (parents too). I never see any crying or outburst. The coaches are always very professional on and off the field. You’re lucky to be a part of it. At first, I thought you were a coach but you just coach your daughter. On another note, after watching this past tourney things are going to get very interesting when the top 3 or 4 get together again.
Hammer you asked earlier about my daughter trying out "been there and done that" My daughter tried out for the peppers last year but was turned down because Dewy handpicked all Daddy ball players and now look what he's ended up with LMAO. Anyway she ended up on another team that folded so now i'm left looking. I’m ready for the weekend we'll see what it brings us!

Just to let you in on a little secret. My source revealed that the Tx Sting said why play in Houston if TPS (rank #1) isn’t playing, point taken. So they made a road trip to the Mud Bug State to see what else was out there. Rumor has it the competition in Louisiana was a bit stiffer than to be expected. For instance the LA Hotshots would have certainly been rank above the Tx Rage and Lady Stro’s etc…. and the LA Heat was equal to those mentioned. I was also told that an LA Heat player took a Steak and Tatters pitch for a joyride which didn’t land for about 275 feet against the Texas Sting “WoW”. Shortly after that an LA Hotshots catcher also jumped on some chin music which they need a low-jack to locate the ball. So all in all it didn’t sound like an All-star tourney to me. In fact you will see both of those Teams at Nationals unless of course you play league. hehe..... Congrats Texas Sting for the WIN.

I don't care who you are there is NO kid at 10 to 11 years old that hits a ball 275 feet. I bet your daughter throws in the mid to upper fifty's also. You don't have to blow things up. It was a great accomplishment that the girl hit it out of the park. Just tell things like they are. Sting, TPS, Lady Stros, and a couple more are great 10U teams and should do well at Nationals.

Congratulations to the Sting for coming home with 1st place. It sounds like the teams over there were better than expected. This should be a wakeup call to all teams getting ready for nationals. There are some good ball players out there in places you might not expect. I cannot wait to see the teams from Georgia and California, we know they will be good. Florida might have some surprises also? Again good job Sting, let the haters say what they want, you still came back #1.

LOL... There are kids10-11 yoa that can hit the ball 275 and throw in the mid 50's. Where in the hell have you been. They’re far and few between but they’re there. The girl from the Dallas Area I think she plays for team called the Rip now I no she throws in the mid 50’s she’s wild but a freak of nature. Also, TPS and Tx Sting each have one that I no throw in the 50’s. I personally witnessed pitchers throwing mid 50’s (radar) but hitting around 250-260 feet is not unusual. Must be another league DADDY….

Ok, enough of the roomer mill. I will let ya'll know the Sting played some really good teams and had the chance to face some great pitching this weekend. Two teams at this tournament would send most teams to the losers bracket in the best Houston tournaments. If your teams don't hit well against the TPS or the Texas Stings top pitching you would have had a tough time dealing with the two top La. teams ( 50 mph plus )at this tournament ! Both of the two top La. teams were full of great athletes that could hit the softball and very fast. The Sting dropped a game to the La. Hot Shots and had to come back to clean them up in the championship ! It was no cake walk and another great decision going out of town to help prepare the Texas Sting to compete at the state and national level. Those of you that are going to nationals might get a shot to play one of these two teams if you hang around in the tournament long enough ha ha ! And yes two girls at this tournament went yard ! Great job 98 Texas Sting you are hitting stride and looking good ! I always like an underdog in the big one's. 8-)
