12u HOF Brackets out

What's on your mind?

by play4fun » Wed Jun 03, 2009 3:22 pm

Its great to see the bracket already been filled out by Fury! It will be great to follow the tournament and see how correct they are in their predictions. Anyone else care to join in?

Although I would not count out the Diamonds, Comets, and Firecrackers to do better than your predictions.

Good luck to all Texas teams!

I always enjoy their little radio built into a rolling ice chest that they play between innings.

They aren't ranked at all -- serious defensive issues plague this team, at least the few times they competed in So Cal, they got their hats handed to them.... Maybe they got better.. :?

Fury and Grapettes in the 'ship only displays your stupidity. Do me a favor and take off the rose-colored glasses. You guys have no idea how good some of these teams are because you have never been to Nationals or seen teams from across the US. Teams like the Comets have been good for the past couple of years and they have merged with the Frost Falcons which also was top team in the US. Georgia Impact is as salty as they come. The Firecrackers from CA...fuhget about it....they are very good and probably have the easiest draw. The Chi-Town Express is a perennial powerhouse at ASA Nationals just about every year. Scottsdale Fever and the Saints are top quality teams from AZ. The Tx Bandits have gimme games for their first 2. They should face the Impact team and this will be a fun game to watch. The Grapettes were a very solid team last year, I know because I saw them at this same tournament last year. This year's team is not nearly as competitive from what I hear. For all of those interested, here are my picks for tournament:

No team north of Bakersfield gets ranked. Grapettes never got ranked last year and finished 3rd at nationals. Go figure ;)

How did this year's 12U Grapettes 96 team do when they competed in 2009 SoCal tournaments? Did they play in the Fresno Force Classic? How did they do? Facts please.

You are so far off base on the Grapettes...not strong. Please don't think they are a SoCal team. They aren't.

Different team entirely, not the same. That's like saying all teams are created equal just because they play in the same organization. Last year, the Grapettes had a stud pitcher. They don't have much this year at all except the boombox.
