Good to learn the tournament is going forward, and more importantly that players, teams and organizations won't jeopardize their good standing.
While my OP was a bit of a rant (I'll even cop to "overblown hyperbole"), at least now the due diligence has been done and the kids can play. But now that they can compete for cash prizes, I still can't help but wonder about my central question (and concern) - how far will it go?
Wondering if this is a one off exemption for this tourney only? Or are cash prizes acceptable now in any tournament, is there a cap on prize money, etc.?
The letter from ASA will be interesting in that regard, and I suppose only time will tell how this might affect the game in the long run.
