Pre-Season HS Rankings out

Blah! What a silly list! Norco, Santiago, or Hart would beat anyone ranked above them. Its not like the people compiling this list have see any of these teams. Bracketologist is more acurate than these guys.

Garland Cooper, who helped compile the list is from Southern California and was a standout player at Northwestern; she is a great softball player so I believe she did a good job!

She is a great softball player? So does that mean she goes to all of these schools and scouts the games? What does being a good player have to do with actual knowledge of each individual team?

Have to agree with Ace here... the blurbs she wrote about the top 25 schools are really nothing more than a review of who is coming back and how they did last year. Hardly in an in depth evaluation.

On the other hand, the media could completely ignore fastpitch, so it's better than having no rankings at all!

Knowing who is coming back along with how they did last season sounds like a pretty logical process to compile rankings. I assume the coaches are typically the same, the competition is relatively the same, and the results should be similar.

And yet the Cardinals played in the Super Bowl!
Even the great Donger would admit the evaluations are cursory. Why would his army think otherwise?
Ace's points were: a) there is much the rankings leave to be desired; and b) just because Garland Cooper was a good softball player, that doesn't qualify her as an evaluator or writer.
Does the fact I can spell mean I could write like Shakespeare?

Im curious to see how they do against Royals freshman pitcher tomorrow. Give us a report if you can.

Hart defeated Royal in both games, The freashman pitcher did well, Royal had 4-5 freashman in the field & it showed. Hart has quite a few "studs" on this team & I think they can go deep into CIF if they stay healthy.

You are so correct. Hart has always put out a top level team. They also totally ignored Pacifica - GG, with 6 CIF Div-1 (Championships) in the last 12 years.

Who cares at this point. Pre-season rankings - LOL - better to just buy a magic eight ball and ask it who is the best teams.
