The "Free Education"" remark was a joke. My dd played in a program that was terrible until she and her recuriting class went there. By her Junior Year, her image was on a billboard in our area advertising the school. She was an "ambassador" for the school and was asked to give tours, speeches to alumni for financial support of the school ... All of that for the "free education" of which had to be divided between athletic and academic. Those academic awards have stiff requirements and so, if your grade falls while representing the school while on the road and not attending class, you lose them. That happens each year to the majority of players in the program. My dd was able to keep hers and graduated with honors. That program is now a national power and currently ranked #7 in the nation.

Per Bernie. Hell no. I believe that you bust ass and earn what you want. I believe that our society is in grave danger with the entitlements we give. We allow our children to have excuses for failure instead of reasons for success. BTW, while somewhat different, I coached Baseball in the former Soviet Union. While the philosophies of Socialism and Communism are different, the goal to have everyone be equal is not. Equal? What a pathetic concept!

Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy.

I will have to say, that despite being totally against socialism and most of the programs and ideas he stands for, I do admire that he has been consitant in his message and thoughts. Certainlly misguided, but not wishy -washy

So, which Sanders' programs do you like?

Bernie said that if you are white, you don't know what poverty is. How dare he say that! When my dad came to my house last summer, he stopped right before my house, sat in his truck and started crying. I went to the truck and asked what was wrong. He said, "how did my son get to live in a house like this." I once lived in a 10 by 20 shed with no running water or electricity. 7 of us lived there. I could tell horror stories about poverty that few could match. My brother had an infected hand from a cut. It was swollen and had puss breaking out the bottom part of the hand. We thought that he might have to lose his hand. My dad went and bought a canister of salt. He held my brother with his legs and forced that hand into that salt. I'll never forget by brother screaming. It did save his hand. Again, how dare Sanders say that.

Maybe I'm wrong, but Sanders strikes me as that really annoying guy in class that you just wanted to tell to STFU.

....wanted to tell to STFU??? You mean beat the crap out of him and then have the guys take him into the locker room and put icy hot on his jockstrap and tape it on real good. It probably happened to him, that is why he was a HS runner.

Oh, my little sandwich maker........you are so cute when you want to say something mean - grrrrrr

Sounds like you graduated from the Donald Trump school of hard knocks and discipline. I prefer TRU (Teddy Roosevelt University).

Besides you don't want to make me angry...you wouldn't like me when I'm angry. Not that you like me now....
