Recommend Catcher's Mit

DD is back behind the plate in 16U and HS. DD has used a SSK Medal Pro catcher's mit in the past, but wants something with more padding but still a big pocket. DD is handicapped as a lefty, so trying on catcher's mits is difficult in the out back woods of Fresno. What kind of catcher mits do you guys/gals recommend for the older 16/18 HS player?

We have had a ton of success with the Nokona CM275. The padding is good, the break in period was shorter than previous catchers gloves, and once we got past the stage of leaving gloves at the field (therefore needing 2 or 3 gloves a season) it is worth the $160 - $200.

DD uses Nokona CM275 as well catching the HS pitchers. Has not had a problem with it and break-in was short - paid $200.

DD is also a lefty catcher and uses the Nokona, defintely worth the money (well, as much as a $300 bat I guess), best mitt she has ever had. Travel coaches DD uses a Nokona as well. I'm not sure on which model for either though.

Nokona CM275KPRO for righthanders...... Nokona AMGFB-W-OW for my leftys.....

I have 2 Nokonas CM275's for pitching practice & for girls to use during games - 1 black.

my next glove for pitching practice/games will be Nokona CM275-BF-CW = Buffalo . Suppose to be the best.

My dd has a couple of the Nokona cm275k and we are in the process of breaking in a new one, cm275bfc, the buffalo combo. These are dd's prefered mitt. I am still trying to pry her first one away from her as it is falling apart, but she is very attached to it. She has used quite a few different brands and this is by far her favorite.

I've got two behind they dish, and the both like the inexpensive Louisville Slugger FPS204 ... breaks in quick .... & one they didn't like was the Akedema APM66 ... which has been floating around the house and country as a loaner ... but in the past week or so I've been using it in the backyard and it is kind of growing on me ... funky pocket, but once ya get used to it .... ??????

Any advice on breaking these in quicker? My daughter has the CM275K and it seems like it's taking a long time to break it in. She's done the pitching machine balls into it, rubbed it with the Nokona vaseline, and hit the ball in. The pocket is forming okay, but she still says it hurts her hand to close it after awhile. Any suggestions? (She's 13.)
