Great original point - Ask to have the umpire watch for the IP and then move on, otherwise it gives your kids an excuse as to the reason why they can't hit her.

FYI - The umpire must clearly see that she is throwing an IP before he can call it. It can't look like or seem like her toe is 1/2" above the plane of the ground. Most of the times the BUmpire is not in the most optimal position to be able to clearly determine if she did in fact leap. He can only call what he can see and not guess!

Also note that it should actually be the pitching coaches responsibility to correct the pitcher!

Watssup Pale? See, I do get on the bucket once in a while, not just FB.

When DD played Florida last year, I wish IP's would have been called, no such luck

OK- Haeger's is really small, granted....you have to slow it down to see it....so let's use another example....here is Waldrop....more severe leap...still not a replant like Carda etc. I would say this is about twice as high a leap as what our pitcher was doing. I can't post video of another kid so you can ether take my word for it that it was in this range of clearance or not. But the point really isn't even about illegal pitching, it is about how coaches conduct themselves when they have a disagreement with an ump. Whether it is the zone, a bad call whatever...I guess a lot of folks are OK with game long rants from coaches. If this gasbag had ranted all game long about a tight or loose zone I would have posted the same thing because he was over the top and I think that is just lame.

 Indeed. I suspect that Ap is trying to get the word out there that this next weekend, when his kid is crow-hopping to victory, the other coaches best look the other way, or they risk getting his wrath on the HB board.

Roger that!!! Tracking Juliet Mike sighting ... 8-)

I think pretty much every pitcher, even at that level has a pitch that can be called an IP...Its the glaringly obvious ones that get dinged for it repeatedly. If I can find it, I'll send you video of the kid Im talking about that her Mom threatened to claw peoples eyes out if they called her illegal
Dont know about you, I find it hard to fault an ump per this topic with nothing to review...
