Code sheets worn on the arm: Allowed?

What's on your mind?

by fastpitchjunkie » Sat Mar 22, 2014 7:58 am

I recently coached a game against a team using the "new age" code sheets worn on the arm of batter and defense. I found them to be annoying. The coach and players take too long to read them and they have a strong glare on them that was bothering my pitcher. Should these be allowed?

"Not Allowed " is not an option. A suggestion to you is don't let anyone know they bother you or your pitcher. If you were playing me and I knew they bothered you, specially your pitcher, everyone on my team, my coaches, and my parents would be wearing them.

Yes, they are allowed. We use them and I have found that they actually takes LESS time than giving traditional signals. Maybe your pitcher should concentrate where to throw the pitch instead.

Saw two teams use them in Florida- one was pretty efficient, the other it slowed them down. IMO it's a little overkill, but if if it works -go for it!
