I think the point is that there are no "college coaches".
Guessing that it would have been 10 - 12 years ago (???) that DDs went to a Nike softball camp. Just started travel ball and obvious that there was some catching up to do. Had no clue about showcases, emailing coaches ... college scholarship? What's that? Just some ballplayers teaching because they liked teaching younger girls. At that time it was very inexpensive, I think $40 a day.
It was actually a camp with the purpose of teaching skills. What a concept, huh?
Don't know if it is still the same - probably not - but maybe/hopefully it is still possible for girls to just go to a camp and work on skills with wondering which coaches are watching.
I see no hope for the future of our people if they are dependent on the frivolous youth of today, for certainly all youth are reckless beyond words.
