wtf?

Too much thinking going on, IMO. But I still think this is a tournament about who is going to get second.

Go Lady Vols! Maybe the Renfroe one-two punch can slow them down a little. Sooners are an awesome team though.

Connie Clark must have had that feeling that Briuns had one more terrific outing left in her. Senior, going in for Luna, and she did well before. Every coach has tried one of these things and every so often, the player really outperforms. Not against OU, and not so early in the game. Texas will live or die in the losers round solely on whether Luna can hit her spots. To me, the blue was squeezing both pitchers. Ricketts just had more spin and drop when going over the plate. Blair strikes out aggressive hitters by throwing a lot of balls.

Another thought is maybe Coach Clark could see the inevitable and wanted to save Luna for the run at 2nd place.

Luna was probably on a short leash as far as walks are concerned. She throws great breaking balls but has a lot of walks. Connie knows you can't give freebies to OK. Bruins hasn't been known to walk a lot of batters. So it was probably the game plan from the beginning. Not that I agree with it.

This Florida Nebraska game is a classic - going back and forth and just craziness.

What was the longest game ever played in a WCWS? This one is headed down that road.

I wonder why they don't use ITB in this stuff - it can still drag on somewhat - but still you don't see this long a game. Spazsdad, when was that 25 inning game ?
