NBA Career not paying you like you thought? Come out and rake in the dough as a historic figure who told the world about your sexual preference. Pathetic! Who cares what you do off the court. As long as your doing it with consenting adults no big deal. This will just be another media circus disguised as a coming out party. Just another puppet.

Tebow got mocked for his faith long before he ever played for the Jets.

Perhaps... but he got just as much pulicity(perhaps more) because of it. Probably got more attention than his abilities deserved because of it. Generally speaking there has been far more positive press for Tebow than negative

Persecuted????? Really?? Tebow has been put on a pedestal and ESPN promoted him over and over during Jets camp last year. As I said-- Tebow got FAR more favorable press then any mockery

The media had to because of his huge popularity amongst the common folk(fans). But they did mock him, right? Why?
