Players are a mystery. And ideas?

What's on your mind?

If you're an ASA team try adding GOLD to the end of your team name.

Jeez Dude, Lighten up. I registered so I COULD post. I'll check with you next time to observe the appropriate waiting period as determined by you before posting. Secondly, My team/coaches have posted ads here in the past. Great Woodward & Berstein work researching my personal post history. I smell Pulitzer in your future with that kind of hard nosed reporting.

Ladies, if a man tells you he will fix it, he will fix it. There is no reason to remind him about it every six months.

Been trying different ways to get players to come out and check out our team each year. We are not one of the handful of really "elite" teams, but we are a good program. Tried tryout section here and others. Very little turnout. What gives? Can I not write a good "ad"? Am I looking in the wrong places? Anyone that has had success, please lend a hand with your comments. Thanks.

Tony. You misunderstood the point of my post. Take a look at your OP. It is oddly written, starting with the welcome of "He all". That caught my attention. You then say, "Can I not write a good ad"? Well, at that point, I was wondering the same thing. Anyway, You seemed to be inviting me to peruse your earlier tryout "ads" and critique them for you. So I looked for your ads to lend a hand with my comments. (not difficult to do, btw)

I then realized you had just registered and never posted a tryout ad. I asked what gives. You replied with an attack on my research skills. Maybe if you tell us what program it is that you represent, and point us to your prior tryout ads (posted by the other coaches), we can offer you the help you say you want?

SoCal covers a lot of area. Care to be a bit more specific? If you posted the ad that would help.

Are you looking to field an entire team or do you have a core of players? Did you start with maybe an All Star team, or did you try and start an org from scratch?

OK, Point taken. Felt a little attacked but after further review understand bad grammer and a vague question do not a good post make. My bad.

Ontheblack, thanks for checking in. We are in Ventura County. The team has been established for several years. We're the MVP's. We've posted here before (forgive me, can't seem to find actual posts from last year). So we do have a core but each year try to reshuffle the deck and bring in good players. We normally just say our program name, what type of player we are looking for and give coach's email and phone number.
