1) - Two questions in this one -
a) I do not believe in any way that the pollution created by our species is causing the climate
to warm up, and 114 years of weather history is interesting information but is slightly short
of being a useful study when put up to the couple millions years our species has been
terrorizing the planet. b) I believe that the climate is warming up - because the climate is
warming up like it has thousands of times before Chevrolet invented suburbans - and I am going to make another prediction that should (based on what BO received his nobel prize for ) get me another Nobel - here is my prediction - the climate is going to cool off again. Soon.
And there is nothing - absolutely nothing that the Gore fruit cake society can come up with , to make any difference in the heating or cooling on a global basis. The liberal world is convinced that there is no problem in the f world , that cant be corrected by raising taxes.

Wonder how the last ice age ended? Did it happen?
Compared to Feb, 1813...how does yesterday rank?

They say we are in the eye of an 8 year storm named Barry, the worst one in history, at least dating back before 1776......

You are on to something, why would they name a storm after a Disney fish anyway, Omen - the storm. I have always known Disney was evil.

Just today, Donald Duck was called a racist....a boy with a last name of White was discriminated for being Black....is it all connected?....Widow, a little help here please!

On a side note, after reading this story, is anyone tired of these people going after the Ghetto Lottery.

"Traying" a lost art!!! When I went to school we had a big hill above the Rugby field in an area referred to as the "Tundra" that we used to tray on. With the cold in Western NY, many times it was so icy that trays were optional

Our worry is SIEO*

(*Sand In Every Orifice)

But the end result of SIEO usually (though not in Feb for this wuss) is to run down and jump into the water. DD2 will do it - no matter what month or what temp - that girl loves the beach.

At what point do you see that what man does has any effect on his environment ? Where is the line ?
1.) You have 5 nice shade trees in your yard, you cut down one ... Is your yard warmer ? You cut down two, is your yard warmer ? 3 ? 4? 5 ? More than half of the worlds forests weren't needed ?
2.) Companies spew what ever pollutants they want into the air you breathe ? One fracking company pours unregulated toxic waste into the ground ? ... 2 do it ? 3 ? You're entire county is taken over and your neighbors tap water ignites ? Your tap water ignites ?
3.) The river where you fish and eat fish from ... One company upstream is dumping crap in it ... Then 2 do it ? 3 ? They all do it ? At what point to you stop eating the fish ?

You are going to stop them with a pick up truck and a shot gun ? Sometimes the government has to get involved just because it's the right thing to do ... When they get involved it takes money, our tax money ... Without some sort of control, industry and the people who run it will justify everything they do in the name of profits and self service ... It certainly is possible the Earth is in a natural warming trend, just as it's possible that humans actions have a hand in making it more severe... JMO

Granted we ALL need to be better stewards of the environment and yes that includes businesses who do bad things but when you weigh nobody working vs. an obscure critter...heard of a school in Washington State who is now broke because they lobbied to end logging in their area. Guess where most of their money came from?. They threw the baby out with the bath water.
I'm 51, Ive seen places logged when I was a kid, cut, planted, thinned, and will be harvested again soon, which will be re-planted. Trees are renewable but it seems the majority of green bots love the asphalt and cities of society vs the conservationists who know trees die, and grow back...some trees even require a forest fire to re-grow.

Southern CA is a fine example of an area that should be burned occasionally in a managed way vs waiting till the undergrowth is so dense the fires that will occur are UN-manageable. Ive also seen an oil industry go from a major job contributor strangled by ridiculous laws vs well thought out clean strategies. If you know anyone who needs a job, send them to North Dakota, oil business is booming. Do a little digging...one of the POTUS bestest billionaire buddies, Warren Buffet bought a railroad recently. No pipeline equals oil having to be hauled by train from the Dakotas (even more of an ecological Russian Roulette strategy). We have enough gas and oil to last a long long time that can be safely taken from shallow waters in the Gulf and East Coast...(wanna guess where we fish in the Gulf?...by the rigs)...
The last oil spill didn't have to happen they could have hit same pool of oil from much shallower (safer) water...and like off Cuba the Chinese are drilling for the same oil...like they shive a get what the US EPA says or does. Funny when we give billions to help the Brazilians drill and then we buy the oil from them...dang sweet deal...

These things are all being addressed - but they need to be address with some common sense. An example, - my beautiful state of Arizona has logging - I have been camping in an area , took pictures, admired the gorgeous aspen trees with their freaking orange leaves - then 3 weeks later go back through the same area , find my same camp site, out gather firewood and a forestry service officer comes by - I talk to him and ask - where are the loggers going to work in this area, and he says 'oh, they did last week ' - I look at my pictures and only then can I pick out that there are some trees missing. I am flying over the Peoples Republic of California (so beautifully managed by the libs) and see clear cut areas of forest that we had driven through a year before. WTH - you cant do that - its so disgusting - but that's what the state allows there. Working in government like I have for a short but very painful part of my life has deepened my disgust for the thought process that comes up with this crap.

And having people come up and say that we are going to have to join into BO's New World Government and pay money to people who live in coastal areas around the world because our satanic corporations are raping and pillaging the climate. If they come and say we need to help those countries that may suffer because things are happening- because that's the right thing (I will use the 'C' word here, the Christian thing to do ) - I am all for it. But carrying on about global warming being the worst thing since automated factories - bull shit - how much more land will be usable now - good fertile land that wont be covered by snow and ice 10 months a year - how much longer will our growing seasons be - the exact opposite of what the sons of these drama queen scientists predicted and we had to listen to in the late 60's and the 70's. Whats it going to be next decade ? Global Fogging , Global Springs etc etc etc.
