I'm in the automobile repair business. They make the most over-engineered cars in the world. They have a lot of people fooled. I would never buy a BMW, Mini, Mercedes, Audi or VW veh. Too unreliable.

How about those VW Jetta and New Beetle transmissions going out at 40-50K, especially the early new beetles. Transmission shops just love them.

Are you disputing they were originally 'sport' versions (i.e. semi-automatic) that were modified to be fully automatic? If so, what do you base that on?
For one- they are AKs-not AR-15s
The reports were that they were not modified street legal AKs, but military grade AKs obtained illegally

- Rifles 1 & 2: Modified Norinco Type 56 S (pictures of the LAPD evidence tags indicate this).

Not real bright move 5 rifles, 3 different calibers...the AKs (Chinese knockoffs) are junky...The HK is a top notch rifle, bet you money it was stolen...the modified part is illegal, I'm sure they were felons...weren't supposed to have firearms anyway...(not supposed to VOTE either) see sort of a trend...Criminals breaking laws...so tell me...How are more laws gonna help...

Strange...an evil Assault weapon from a legal Gun Shop saved their bacon...
A couple cops with ARs or even deer caliber rifles and that wouldn't have barely made local news..."Local PD smokes 2 armed robbers as they exit Bank..."
And for those who say body armor....well a round from a 223 would have penetrated it....a round from a 308 caliber rifle from one of the cops would have entered AND exited it...

I remember that shoot out vividly. The news stations were right in there, showing an under armed police department getting shot up, and only after going into gun shops, to get the proper weapons could they put an end to the situation. The police were getting out gunned pretty badly, until they used the proper tools available to the general public, to end the shootout.
Rats flee from the sinking vessel. They traverse nimbly upon a rope, safely cleated to the dock, that is private enterprise. Socialism is dead, and tits up in the water. A bloated, death show, for rubberneckers of all classes to view.
