2nd yr 12u was asked to play up for our 16u team as they were short a few players

After a doubleheader with her own team she moved over to play another dh with the "big girls" and not only hung in there but hit for the cycle!!

Great job Gillian and keep up the hard work....

Hey was this at Southington - were your older kids playing the one Saturday doubleheader? Congrats. It is always fun when your kid plays up. If she is that dominant, you may want to have her play up - that is the way you get better. Do the Eliminators allow playing up in tournaments? I had heard they were pretty strict about playing your age?

Art...she's not back; she never left!!

Yes this was in Southington yesterday ECSB;

she played up the past 2 days as the older teams were short and because of her size the coaches thought it would not only be great experience but also a learning one...

She played 18 u today in another dh and will play next weekend again in a showcase here in CT so she will def get some valuable experience! Still hit the ball solid including a 2 run bases- loaded single in the rf gap!

She's still just 11; doesn't turn 12 for 2 weeks ; would you want your 11 yr old in the dugout with 15- 18 yr olds?

Talent wise, sizewise yes she is right on there level but the maturity will come with time....

we want her to get better but still allow her to be a kid too!!:)

The Eliminators will allow her to play anywhere we want her to or SHE wants to; they are not strict as far as we have seen the past 2 1/2 yrs. If they were, I don't think she'd be invited to play in the showcases
