I have my ballot in front of me. It lists 5 candidates for President. Maybe we should have been allowed to hear from some of the other 3.
My cousin in Miami tells me that her ballot lists 13 candidates for President (I don't know, though. She drinks.)
Under each of the candidates the names of their members of the electoral college are listed. I don't remember ever seeing that in the past. But it should remind people that it is not the popular vote that elects a president. It is what specific states he carries.
I have to shake my head when I hear polls. Who answers those, anymore, anyway? I don't pick up the phone if i don't recognize the number. The plurality in the general polling may not reflect which states a candidate is actually going to carry.
