2011/12 is getting started soon....who are THE 12/11u teams?

by insoftballnut » Fri Jul 13, 2012 7:20 am

I can't stress enough the importance of getting your early teen dd's ready for Highschool from now and on the rite path to maybe a college scholarship.

Find yourselves the rite team that wants this to happen for your dd.

Find a team that has a goal twards college exposure tournaments.

If your dd is going into 14's for the 2013 season, the time is ''Now'' for this transition!

If any parent out there thinks that maybe within a good team that they want 12-13 kids on that rouster, and are thinking thats to many, re-think this over because there are way more on many college teams,, what you put in, is what you will get out of it.

A little sacrifice now will go along way later.

Chemistry isn't sitting in circles singing songs or even being close friends off the field, but it IS focusing on TEAM rather than on ME and doing whatever it takes to be team-successful when the uniform goes on. Easily one of the most talented groups of players I have coached had work ethic, skill, experience and all things that look good on an INDIVIDUAL resume, but led to the longest travel summer and most disappointing Nationals I have ever endured as a coach. They had horrible team chemistry and regardless of teaching or talent, couldn't suceed as a group. #2 hitter doesn't want to sac bunt for lead off because it makes lead off look better than her, #2 pitcher who is CLEARLY #2 whines every game that #1 pitches and makes the dugout miserable, Outfielder's parents convince their daughters that, since they played infield for their crappy high school teams, they are better than the all-verballed infield regardless of what practice tells us, there are whispers and giggles in the dugout late in the game at Nationals with the team down 4-2, and the list goes on. This team had no chance for success because of above the shoulders issues and influences from outside the dugout. They could never get anywhere, regardless of their great talent, because they were never paddling the boat in the same direction as a group. If you think chemistry is not a major factor in a team's success, you are SADLY mistaken.

#2 batter, If she has to bunt to advance lead off once and awhile when needed, I can see that,,but if the #2 is a slugger and she is doing this all the time, then you need to put a kid that is not a slugger and an expert bunter in the #2 spot,,thats if the leadoff gets on base the majority of time, like 90% of the time. Even though your #2 is good for this option- your wasting her heavy bat 90% of the time. move your #2 over to the #3 spot and get your worst slugger with some speed to do nothing but be an expert bunter.

Put your #2 pitcher at the end of the dugout with an ipod on with her favorite music untill it's her turn to pitch and tell her to chill on the tunes, this will relax her,, or put a dugout strict mom or dad in there to keep them all cheering and focused on the game instead of stewing in their pew.

All these kids should be focased on the game at hand, like being at work. When work is over then it's time to do whatever,

Parents job is to make sure lil debbie knows when it's game time {work}. No parents should question the coach during a game, befor or rite after,, make arrangements with him to voice your concerns,,

Dammit!!!!
Every kid out there on a team, has a job to do,, Go do your jobs and eveything falls in place.
You want chemistry ,, take it in School

So my leadoff needs an OBP of .900 before I start using the #2 as a bunter? I guess simple is as simple does with everything else your saying. What about English as well? They still offer that in school?

You had my attention when you started correcting Gunshy!

I just finished laundry, my kid will have a clean uniform tomorrow. Dishes are done after grilling a spectacular meal. And I cleaned out the litterbox while in the laundry room. Teach me great one, my time is short.

I hope you used atleast the good brand bleach on you whites, and the use of tide is highly recomended,, Dont put the bleach in with colored clothing. Dont forget fabric softner.

And when you grill, please lightly oil the grates with oil, don't flip burgers or steaks more then once, try grilling halved cut fruit like peaches and nectarines , also some thick cut pineapples are great also, You will enjoy the fruits.

Any thing else '' The Great One'' here can give advise for, Don't be ashamed to ask, thats the only way all here can learn, With the exception of Myself '' The Great One''

The NSA B North World Series is about to get under way. So who is going to come out on top? I'm saying the CP Bulldogs 2000 and Harris Heat 99 will be the top contenders from Indiana. 50% of the teams in the tournament are from Indiana, so who are the top teams from our visiting states and will one of them come in and steal the trophy? It wouldn't surprise me to see those 2 teams (Bulldogs and Heat) battling it out in the finals. Or maybe the Bulldogs will get caught looking past someone in NSA B now that they are going to ASA nationals? It should be interesting.

Plainfield Force and River Valley Rage 99 are 2 strong teams. Force won b metros and rr99 has that stud pitcher.

The Crown Point Bulldogs 00 are going to ASA Nationals? From what I've read on here they are a NSA B team. Why they are going to nationals and better yet, how did they qualify?

Does it really matter how they qualified? The fact is, they are playing where they belong! They should have been playing ASA all season long and not NSA B ball. As I've stated before, they have one the best coaching staff that I have seen. They are wonderful with the girls and make great decisions on the field. But off the field, apparently not so much in choosing to play NSA B all year. They better place very high in the NSA B world series, cause they've played this type of competition all year long and have been dominate in a lot of tourneys. I think it's great that one of the top teams in Indiana is going to ASA Nationals, along with Raiders Black. The Bulldogs00 are good enough to place in the top half at Nationals, so let's see what this great team does in the next two weeks!

Bulldogs 00 played Plainfield Force IL last night and won 13 to 3. My daughter pitched a great game against them last night. 6 strike outs and no walks. We won our first 3 games and unfortunately for us we had to face Harris Heat 99's today and we loss. Their a great team and a tough competition for anyone. Were still in it. We just need to fight our way back just like in state. Harris Heat was the only team to beat us in state too. They have an amazing group of girls. River Valley Rage 99's has a great team as well. I'm excited for our girls to get the opportunity to go to ASA Nationals in Moline IL. We were 4th in ASA State and because there were 3 berths for Indiana and some teams decided not to go we were given the opportunity like some other teams. I hope our girls will go to Nationals and learn from some of these amazing teams. It would be nice to win some games but if not I think the experience a lone will be worth it.
