2011/12 is getting started soon....who are THE 12/11u teams?

by cpbulldogfan » Tue Jul 03, 2012 7:54 am

Congrats to our sister team, the 99 Dogs, on their berth to ASA Nationals! You fought the Raiders Black hard in your bracket game from what I heard!

Great job to the Bulldogs00 for competing against some of these ASA teams! They beat the teams that they should have beat and lost to the teams that they were expected to lose to. I think the Bulldogs00 have the White Sox 2000's number. They beat them again!!!!! I thought it was supposed to be a great rivalry, but not as much anymore. The new rivalry is with the Lazers!!!

All in all, a great job this weekend with a respectable 4th place finish!!!!

Bulldogfan; I was impressed with your dogs 00 team, they are a little package of dynamite and fought like lil dogs to get to mommas milk. To bad they couldn't finish atleast 2nd. The sox 00 to me from what was talked about on here are tough also, but a little overated for a 1st year 12u, but next year might be diffrent, so dont count them out bulldogfan, you all will face each other next year again,,then will see.
This year I would have to give the ''Crown'' to bulldogs 00 over sox 00...

The 99's ''Crown'' will have to go to the RAIDERS 99,, the blueberry fest champs,,the monster mash champs, 3rd place finish at 14u NORTHERN NATIONALS,, 7th place finish at the USA/ASA Hall of fame games in Oklahoma city, Oklahoma. 1st place at the USA/ASA State game in Crown point. There coach apparently is doing the correct things from bringing them from an undisputed #1 team at the B level in 10's to a top contender in the A division in 12's,,

Everyone here knows the road to the top is not an easy smooth road, but it has it's bumps, pot holes, gravel, and skid marks along the way, A team might get a flat and even lose a few tires along the way but the strong keep moving on, they change that flat,, air up that tire and find a smoother road ahead.

ASA IS NOT FOR EVERYONE

I wish you the very best this weekend and look forward to the possibility of playing. As Bill has stated, in 12u, on any given day either team could win. This is true for all the teams playing this weekend.

As for Moline. Our team has not decided which tourney we will attend. We qualified for ASA A Northern, NSA A World Series, and Moline.

The coaches, along with the parents, will discuss it and decide which tournament will be the best, most memorable, experience for our girls.

Last year compuware chose to go to NSA A and won the championship. I am not saying we would win the championship at either ASA A northern or NSA A but I understand the reasoning, at 12u, to play in a championship where the girls have the best opportunity to excel.

It is just simply amazing , astonishing and mind boggling in your reply that you say ''As for Moline. Our team has not decided which tourney we will attend. We qualified for ASA A Northern, NSA A World Series, and Moline.'',LOL,,and moline. Sister ; you dont have a clue whats going on! You cant even compare an NSA A WORLD SERIES OR AN ASA NORTHERN NATIONALS to the USA/ASA NATIONALS in Moline. This is governed by the juior olympics, and here is a quote from ASA,,,,,

''The ASA youth program, also known as the Junior Olympic program, is among the nation's largest youth sports organization. Over 80,000 teams, 1.3 million players and 300,000 coaches participate in ASA youth softball on an annual basis. It is the single fastest growing program in the ASA, and has had membership growth every year since its inception in 1974.'''.. Your team is undecide to go to moline! And you qualified....WARNING,,,,,WARNING,,,Take your kids to moline or take your dd's to another team,,,,WOW! your team is undecided,,,,,GET A CLUE SISTER

Honestbabe,,no regrets at all what I said,, Its funny that their trying to figure out what tournament to go to. Nsa A world series, Northern Nationals or just Moline,, haha.

Out of the 3 she mentioned, the so called just 'MOLINE' one is by far the best experience and by far the best one.

Maybe i understood what dailyjoy was realy trying to say, but i didnt want to be over rude and just say the truth.

But since i'm the jackass portrayed in your response in her defense, here comes the true response to which tourny their undecided to go to.

NSA 'A' WORLD SERIES = much easier teams then USA/ASA nationals.
NORTHERN NATIONALS = left overs for those who couldn't make the cut to USA/ASA nationals or who made the cut and are afraid to go and finish last.

But guess what, even the last place finisher at USA/ASA nationals is a 'WINNER' because they made the cut to be there..Indiana gives out like 4-6 berths to the USA/ASA nationals in each age group,,some states give less and some way more. It should be an honor for any team to make the cut and go.

like i said; ASA NOT FOR EVERYONE,, just because of indecisions like she stated,,there team won a berth to moline dailyjoy said,, but yet they are deciding weather to go to a NSA world series or northern nationals,,,come on..

ASA IS NOT FOR EVERYONE for sure then,,,WOW

I'm well aware of the JO program, in fact you copied and pasted ASA's propaganda in an earlier post. I was merely pointing out that if there's a junior olympic program, there must be an olympic program right, point us to that.

Look, here's the deal, you, your DD, your DD's team, obviously play ASA. Congratulations, I think I speak for the whole board when I say, we're proud of you. But to belittle other teams for doing other things is ridiculous. This whole ASA isn't for everyone is like having beets on a salad bar, it's just stupid. Why do you so enjoy taking shots at Dailyjoy? Because she's a girl? Because in your opinion she's ignorant as to the workings of the Softball world as you see it? She's an easy mark for a bully?

Let me lay a few things out for you about Dailyjoy:
Yea, she's new to Softball, but she's a pretty quick study. No different than anyone else she's trying to figure out what the best thing to do for her DD is.
She's bright, articulate, and not afraid to say, I don't know, can you help me out?
Maybe there are issues that you have NO idea about as to why they just don't want to go to Moline. Maybe several key players can't go, thus rendering the team uncompetitive. Maybe they have to deal with a bunch of doucebag parents, much like many on this thread, and they just don't see the need of spending a week away from home when the wheels are going to fall off.
The best part of all this, what if she's a single woman doing this for a kid who's not even her DD? Her time, her money, her efforts, just to do the right thing for a kid who just wants to play ball.

Do me a favor insoftballnut, when you get back from Moline, can you give us a report on how many college offers were extended......and accepted.

SLAPPER thats a intresting point you have.
Your missing what i'm trying to help some on here realize as to wich of the 3 tournament were more important.
You know as well as I know that at the 12u level there will be "NO'' college coaches there scouting, stop trying to be superman here with that big of a sarcastic comment trying to make me the fool. But there might be some High School coaches, [ just kidding on that one, lol].

Your pointing out alot of maybes of douchbag parents and other things,, the point is that everyone involved in travel ball should know the expense involved and be prepared with fundraisers , car pooling, or friend & family sponsors , if i offended her in any way, i deeply apologize.

As far as playing an ASA,PGF,NSA,USSA tournaments that would entirely be there personal choice.

But for a team to have the opportunity to even make the cut to go to an ASA nationals, that is the better of the 3 that were mentioned here on our discussion.

So i guess since maybe a team has figured out that they dont stand a chance in winning an ASA Nationals they might be better off going somewhere else to play, even though they made the cut. but any team that did make the cut - like i said is allready a winner because of the amount of berths given out in the State of Indiana.

So the bottom line is that if a team had the chance to go but cant ,, then just pass the berth down, i'm sure Cindy will find another team wanting to go.

As far as bellittleing [ i bet i spelled that one wrong], that was not my intentions at all,, I though it was a little constructive criticism to get to the point.

And i dont think at all the ASA program offers any propaganda sites to read as you stated.

Like I said and I stick to it,,,,,ASA not for everyone
