>>>but when you get a chance to meet and talk to him you would see what he is really like.<<<

I am figuring its something like this below....

and I doubt at this point the guy is going to make many new friends after the accusations from which he wasnt fully acquitted. Sucks for you and the 60-70 other familes but thats the reality.

This action is the best thing that ever happened to Softball Soldiers on heybucket... if not for Chris, we'd still be bashin Steve Rivera's band of thieves & thugs for attempting to steal a 12U girls bat....

JD

In fairness, I went back and reread most of this post, so I could ask you several pointed questions. You don't seem to want to answer what I asked last time. You said you thought CF was a total prick until you got to know him ... right? So he either turned out to be a swell guy or you turned toward the dark side. Which is it?
1) Do you think it is ok for CF to encourage young girls to text him about life's problems? (I would think it is ok to text and say " I'm going to miss practice today, sorry.")
2) Do you think it is ok for CF to have young girls over to his house to talk about life's problems.
3) You mentioned that a girl ran away and you were the first person she called. Do you find that a bit strange? Why not call your best friend? Why not call your parents ... wait ... I know, because they feel more comfortable calling you. Why is that? Maybe because you encourage them to spill out their life's problems to you, so you can be the "surrogate daddy". You will be Mr Nice guy while the parents are the bad guys that just don't understand you.
4) Do you think that CF having girls in his room and coming out with just a towel around his waist is ok?
5) Do you think that CF's language in front of young girls is appropriate?
6) Do you think that CF's past history was all made up to?
7) Do you think CF showed really bad judgement and immaturity in all of the above?
8) Why don't you just encourage all the TNL parents to tell all the CF stories, good things and bad things he has done in the past, so that we can judge fairly.
9) Let the whole truth come out and let the chips fall where they will. If CF is such a good guy that is being mischaracterized, maybe we will all see it and drop it.

I can vouch for Jerry that it took him an hour to write that second post. The longer one.

So I get his point, to some extent.

"Letsgetreal", that list would take him forever to respond to. He's already made it clear that he's not going to spend 5 hours replying. And even if he did, there would likely be a dozen more questions behind the first group.

If you really want to know, call him. There will be no answers forthcoming on this thread from the TNL camp. That much has been made clear.

And now with that resolved, let's allow Numero Uno to get started organizing that Toga Party. :D

You are probably right. It would take a bit of time to answer, but if he did answer, it could clear up a lot. I think he wants people to call him on the phone so he can rationalize this whole situation and make a plea for letting the girls "just play softball'. I can see that.
If the truth be told, JD can't answer truthfully. He is between the rock and a hard place. He knows if he tells the truth, it would be very damaging. He knows that CF is not the type of person that you want your kids around, but CF can coach the game of softball. I guess that is what counts the most to the TNL crowd. If JD told ALL the stories he has heard over the last 4 years, it would not be good for CF or the organization. JD wants the organization to survive.
So is it any wonder JD wants to take this "off line"? No. It really doesn't have anything to do with JD's typing skills. I would say that you ( anonlooker ) have it right in your post towards the top of page 27. CF will get his in the end. Karma does work funny that way.

Someone needs to call in a couple of hard-hitting...errr, gentlemen...to go to work on this thread with a pair of pliers and a blowtorch.

letsgetreal,
I will answer one of your questions ,#3 , the one that pertains to me. You actually proved my point on why I don't want to answer questions on this site. It amazes me how someone can twist and turn words around to make them fit how they feel.

The girl is question has been with TNL since my first year here(12's). She and my youngest daughter(who I took with me to nationals) became friends that summer in Indiana. The family and just moved from San Diego to Orange County(so she didn't know anyone), the father was away on a business trip, she got into an arguement with her mom, she ran away, she called my house, I answered, I calmed her down, I told her to go home, I immediately called her mom and now you want to call me a "surrogate daddy"-AMAZING

So to answer your question- No I don't find it a bit strange that she called me first.

Nice Pulp Fiction knowledge. A classic line from a guilty pleasure of a movie.

My favorite scene is when Christopher Walken describes to the young Bruce Willis where his Viet Nam POW father's watch has been for the past 5 years, as he holds it under the kid's nose. And then says, "after your father died - of DYSENTERY. . . . ."

I know most people find my sense of humor to be more than a little warped. But that's some funny **** (sorry for the pun) right there. Although I was the ONLY one laughing in the theatre when I saw it, as my wife was frantically elbowing me in the ribs. But once I explained it to her. . . . .(she told me I was sick, it wasn't funny, and elbowed me in the ribs AGAIN).

The adreneline shot to Uma Thurman's heart was pretty good, too. I think a lot of people have wanted to stab her with something as they try to understand Tarantino's fascination / crush on her, and her inclusion in each of his movies.

Anyway, Walken is a genius. Long live cowbell.
