And intelligent people don't plant trees near power lines and constantly trim those where are already there to avoid these types of issues. In my area, the power company would clear all their lines annually, but stopped doing that because the results were not asthecially pleasing to the eye.
So, what would you rather have, controlled planting and maintained trees or power? Some folks don't get the fact that this isn't a one-dimensional world.
6. Mass drivers are idiots
Ok... example: no power, 4-way intersection, lights out, some cars stopped in all directions. What do you expect? Well, in Mass... many random drivers just rip through the intersection at 50. Very few stop or even slow down at an uncontrolled intersection regardless of who is there or what is coming the other way.
What do you want, they slowed down to 50 mph, didn't they?
If one person stops and then goes, 8 cars follow in a train. Rude. Irresponsible.
And where did you say this was? And you expect people to be shocked?
