Winners:

Corona Angels '96 for hearing how their team sucks, is breaking up and surrounded by doubt placing third in a 14U TCS tournament, beating BS '95 twice at the Nationals Qualifyer in No Cal to EARN their berth to Alabama and then placing 13th out of 70 teams (losing to Anderson Heat and TNL in bracket play) It's a beautiful thing - the best revenge is SUCCESS!

I'm inclined to doubt revenge is what motivates these girls.

But no doubt their achievements demonstrated they belong in the "Winners" category.

It's just a saying, I wasn't implying that the girls have or had revenge on their agenda... But aimed at those who were actually hoping for the failure of this young team, with all their negative talk, I believe it's appropriate...

hey just wondering who you are to make such judgements as to who are"winners&losers".
lets be reminded that these coaches for the most part are not paid but give there time effort
and hard work to make our girls better ball ballers.
and these girls are all winners who practice for long hours and than step out on the field and play
game after game in sometimes extreme weather condtions.
believe me i have not loved every coach my daughter has had , but i do respect the time and effort they have given.

Okay, it's just a saying, I'll buy that.

But now, were there actually people hoping the team would fail?? What people? Where did you ever hear (or read) anyone comment: "I hope this young team fails." ??

I don't know why Mizuno Pride is on the loser list. While observing their games this year they showed good sportsmanship and never boasted or anything. Also while watching them at nationals, they had class when they won. If you look at the bracket, they didn't play any 96 teams.

Not on HB and not in those exact words. But, since you're making such a big deal and nit-picking on what I posted, I will say that throughout the season we heard of coaches asking new players' parents why they are on "that crappy Angels team", ex-players parents telling others how our team sucks and they are on "the better team", others trying to steal players and joyfully stating how "The Angels are going to be decimated" and then just general crap talk about the team. Yes, I believe that all of those people, and they know who they are, were rooting for the team to fail, absolutely. Instead of talking bad about their teams or about them personally to others by telling you or anyone else who they were, IMO the best way to get back at those who do or wish you wrong is to just succeed, at least in the sports arena. I certainly didn't mean for my choice of words to become an issue, but I still stand behind them.
